if he only understood just how smitten she was with him 💗 Thank goodness it’s Friday! 🙌🏼 We have learned so much this week and I’m excited to implement some of our new ideas for the business, life and motherhood ✨ One of these is SCHEDULE BLOCKING! Does anyone else do this?! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I think I had a huge ‘come to Jesus’ moment this week and thankful I did! In order to really show up in every area of my life and be there 100%, boundaries have to be there and so does intentional ‘scheduling’ and sticking to it! So here’s to new routines and ways of loving myself, my family and my clients! my little pick me up today — 🌷 [also diffusing JOY in the entire house & its nap time] the momma Gods are doing a happy dance 💃🏻 yep, this is a home office but for about a WEEK straight now ALL I can think about is opening up my own office space (OUTSIDE of the home) .. any other SAHM hear me?! some days it’s verrrrry close to impossible to accomplish any work unless the little one is napping 🤞🏼. But on top of that reality, I just feel like it’s almost that time to really branch out and create a place that’s MY OWN for this design firm. I want a team. I want a place to create designs and envision full homes transformed with the help of local vendors and textiles and samples all over the place 🙌🏼 I know this seems like a crazy dream — but I want to put it into words to hold myself accountable for those big dreams and to ask you support other women and mommas that dream daily & let them know ‘they got this..’ Happy Sunday y’all! I mean, what about this house isn’t perfect?! 🌿 We are looking around for lots of inspiration this weekend (both inside and out) for a new project we are working on for a repeat client & could not be more excited! We basically have a blank slate for their living area and kitchen/breakfast room! We are creating a cohesive feel from the other spaces in the home we have worked on already - the dining room and entry. I’m excited to share with y’all a little bit of design process for this part! This week, I’m also going to be sharing more deets on exactly what it looks like when you work with Sarah Scott Designs on a design project (whether it be a refresh, a remodel, or a new build) 🤗 Sometimes it can be intimidating to sign on the dotted line with a designer, but I’m here to walk you through those feelings and guarantee an easy, peasy ride to getting your home exactly how you’ve always envisioned it. That way, at the end of the day, you can relax and enjoy your little oasis! When Kevin texted me yesterday and said “I want to name our boat ‘Kathy Sue’”.. in honor of my Mom, I got the cold chills and wanted to cry all at the same time 💚 Being out here on our own boat, for the first time as a family of 3 seems surreal. It’s a bittersweet thing. My mom would’ve LOVED being there with us tonight! She had quite the fancy for boats and being on the water — and let’s just say, I got her love for the water and this place we call home. Gosh, we are so thankful but missing my mom on these waters is an understatement. A little friday #designinspo for ya ✨ I love all of the textures in this space and the mixture of all of the blues and neutrals in the prints! When you can effortlessly combine patterns and pillow fabrics, then you’ve created a 👌🏼 space. Your home should a be a ‘get away’ for you and your family. Your little escape. And I’m not here to say that having a gorgeous, perfectly curated home makes that happen, but I will say when it reflects your design style and feels welcoming and fresh, it makes it a lot easier to just RELAX! 🤗 park time with my girl 💗 Thank you Lord for all of this sunshine and 70 degree weather 🙌🏼🙌🏼 ... also to this sweet little breakfast nook and that natural light 👌🏼 Super Bowl Sunday is here and I’m thinking this refreshed living room for our clients is probably a nice cozy spot for football 🤗 or a nap.. 😂 It’s still so hard to understand that when we travel home to see family that my mom won’t be there to throw my arms around — or spoil P.
